Big Lots in Lancaster, OH is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in daily operations. You will help hire, train and develop staff while assisting with all store functions to meet company deliverables.

You will also manage opening/closing, protect assets, ensure safety, and maintain stockroom and sales floor standards. This role requires flexibility with days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Competenze

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Mansioni

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Open and close procedures in the manager's absence.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Direct hourly Team Members when Store Manager is away.
• Process corporate directives.
• Assist with receipt/return of merchandise and freight flow.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise; maintain stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Implement directives from the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
