Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll records and scheduling, loss prevention, training Store Associates, and maintaining stockrooms and sales floors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling tasks, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
