Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and help maintain seasonal displays.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store. You will supervise and train associates, uphold safety policies, and ensure a positive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards; protect assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
