Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role supports the Store Manager in daily activities, leads Associates, and upholds company standards.

You will help with opening/closing procedures, merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. This full-time position offers opportunities for growth within a dynamic retail team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and other store communications.
• Maintain promotional compositions of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
