Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, guiding staff, and ensuring merchandise moves efficiently from delivery to floor.

Key duties include opening/closing procedures, maintaining promotional displays, and supporting payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with prior store-management experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and reading operational directives is required.
• Experience managing store operations in retail or similar environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and uphold professional interactions.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
