Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting in daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and helping in opening/closing procedures.

Key duties include processing directives, maintaining displays, and supervising store associates to ensure a clean, safe, and friendly shopping environment. Part-time position with opportunities for growth within the store team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures to ensure effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
