Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and manage merchandise flow to ensure smooth operations.

This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment. You will assist with opening/closing duties, scheduling, and payroll tasks while upholding company policies and delivering

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, plus loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
