Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This role requires supervising staff, maintaining displays, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers.

The position involves assisting with daily tasks, opening/closing procedures, and implementing corporate directives while promoting a positive, high-energy store atmosphere. Part-time hours are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented.
• Flexibility for opening/closing procedures and part-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional areas.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits.
• Supervise and develop store associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.
