Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and presented effectively.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work in a high-energy team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; train and develop store associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal
• Other duties as assigned
