J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability through genuine customer connections, loyalty, and community engagement, while coaching the sales team for peak performance.

Collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies and ensure smooth operations as needed. You will help recruit, train, and develop staff, curate a collaborative environment, and ensure the team exceeds goals with best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to bend, reach, stretch for product and lift/move at least 40 pounds (18 kg).

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director to drive business results and profitability.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Collaborate to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate authentic customer connection.
• Develop community engagement and loyalty through store events.
• Step into various sales floor roles as needed.
