Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations in Charlotte, NC. You will help with daily activities, assist customers, and manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, ensuring seasonal areas stay organized.

The role includes opening/closing duties, directing associates, and upholding safety and company policies while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures for optimal effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies; supervise/train Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and general presentation.
