Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, provide excellent customer service, and mentor team members. You will support opening/closing, organize merchandise, and maintain a safe, clean shopping environment.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and retail experience. You will work in a fast-paced store, lifting up to 55 lbs, with a focus on teamwork and policy compliance to drive store success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas, fixtures, and displays per policy.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure safety and policy compliance.
