Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and presented effectively.

You will participate in opening/closing duties, follow corporate directives, supervise staff, and maintain a safe, clean store environment. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills and a willingness to perform a variety of duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for optimal impact.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged stock, and handle payroll and scheduling records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
