The Assistant Manager acts in the Store Manager's absence and helps with personnel tasks such as recruiting, training, and evaluating staff while ensuring policies and standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and drive store goals.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Step in for Store Manager in their absence.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Lead staff to meet department standards and customer service goals.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per manuals and policies.
• Promote and sell store services and merchandise.
