Job summary

Citi Trends in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and drive sales performance. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, shrink prevention, and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain staffing levels through recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organized, customer-focused store environment.
• Reinforce adherence to policies and loss prevention.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
