Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and assist with staffing and development. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, maintain standards, and ensure excellent customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work flexible hours. The position emphasizes teamwork, loss prevention awareness, and adherence to company policies while supporting training and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to achieve sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise staff in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Support staffing levels through recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Enforce merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
