Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales performance, and lead and develop the team. In partnership with the Store Manager, you’ll oversee hiring, onboarding, and coaching to ensure a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.

You’ll manage staffing, scheduling, and training while upholding company policies, loss prevention, and merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Supervise and coach store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting efforts and retention.
• Ensure adherence to policies, loss prevention, merchandising, and visual standards.
