Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear Duncan is hiring an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, merchandising, and customer service excellence. You will help supervise staff, manage inventories, and ensure the store runs smoothly during peak periods.

The role emphasizes leading by example, promoting merchandise, and maintaining policy standards while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Qualifications

Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
1-3 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
Ensure profitability by monitoring inventory, sales statistics, and expenses.
Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
