Job summary

J.Crew Factory is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its store leadership team. You’ll drive profitability through strong customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement while coaching the sales team and supporting daily operations.

You will manage a designated division, participate in recruiting and training, and lead initiatives that elevate product knowledge and customer service. Flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in retail management.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay updated with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch, and lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to drive profitability and brand connection.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development efforts as needed.
• Partner to cultivate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost authentic customer connection.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Be capable of stepping into various roles on the sales floor as required.
