Job summary

J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our leadership team in-store. You’ll drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement while coaching the sales team and supporting daily operations.

You will collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies for business success, ensure smooth operations, and deliver best-in-class service. 1–2 years of retail management and a passion for fashion are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience with similar scope.
• Passion for brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds (18 kg).

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results and profitability.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Collaborate to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate customer connections.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor if needed.
