Big Lots is seeking an Assistant Manager to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently. You will help manage day-to-day operations, supervise team members, and ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a professional environment for customers and staff.

Qualifikationen

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks.

Aufgaben

• Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Able to perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist the Store Manager in protecting and securing assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for hourly Team Members when the Store Manager is not on premises.
• Process all corporate directives.
• Assist with receipt/return of DSD merchandise and freight flow.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise and maintaining stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Support the Store Manager with weekly directives.
