Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a North Carolina location. The role focuses on daily store activities, merchandising, and staff guidance to ensure an engaging shopping experience.

Responsibilities include supervising associates, opening/closing duties, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and strict adherence to company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; participate in loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards; protect assets including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
