Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Raleigh, NC seeks a part-time store associate to support daily store operations and customer service. You will assist with merchandise handling, restocking, and maintaining clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, and ensuring safety compliance while delivering friendly, helpful service to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including pulls, holds, task compliance, and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; empty trash and sweep/mop floors.
