Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Charlotte, NC location to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

Key duties include assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, and ensuring shelves and stockrooms are well-maintained. You will participate in opening/closing procedures, follow corporate directives, and maintain a safe, positive work environment for associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/supermarket environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor, and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
