Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and support merchandising and stockroom functions to keep the store organized and compliant with policies.

This role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining a safe, welcoming store for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Support in merchandising, stockroom to sales floor transfers, and seasonal area maintenance.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain proper loss prevention and record-keeping.
