Job summary

JCPenney in the United States is seeking an Asset Protection – Shrink specialist to observe activities, collect evidence, conduct external interviews, and report suspected theft and fraud to AP and store leadership.

You will travel to stores, support safety topics, document investigations, assist with audits, and help maintain a secure, hazard-free environment. A HS diploma and 1+ years in asset protection or security are preferred, with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years retail work experience or Asset Protection/security preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent; criminal justice/business background preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to stores as needed.

Responsibilities

• Observes activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity and collects evidence.
• Executes required investigation routines and documents all stages.
• Conducts external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Reports suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP and store leadership.
• Creates and manages records for apprehension, statements, and evidence.
• Travels to stores as necessary and supports safety initiatives.
• Analyzes intelligence on individuals involved in theft and booster groups.
