Qualifications

• Must identify suspicious activity and respond appropriately in a retail environment.
• Strong communication to partner with customers, colleagues, leaders, and law enforcement.
• Use de-escalation tools and sound judgment to maintain a safe environment.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• In New York, a current New York State Security Guard License is required.

Responsibilities

• Use surveillance, investigative tools, and reporting systems to identify theft and shortage trends.
• Partner with store teams and law enforcement to support investigations and protect assets.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for investigations, audits, and legal proceedings.
• Train colleagues on asset protection protocols and safety practices.
• Testify in court for criminal and civil cases as needed.
• Respond to alarms and assist with special assignments and first aid when needed.
