Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Greater Salt Lake Area seeks a hands-on ReStore Manager to oversee daily operations and grow the Tooele store. You will lead a retail team, ensure a welcoming customer experience, and manage donations, pricing, stocking, and sales.

The ideal candidate has strong retail, customer service, organizational, and people-management skills and enjoys working with staff, volunteers, donors, and customers to advance the ReStore's mission in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail, sales, warehouse, operations, or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate employees and volunteers.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active retail/warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move merchandise and materials, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn point-of-sale and other business systems.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, if required for ReStore operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and schedule team members; support recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and ongoing training and development.
• Manage sales, customer service, cashiering, point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling, and shift operations.
• Oversee inventory management and control, merchandising, stocking, purchasing, pricing, and retail product knowledge.
• Handle bookkeeping, payroll processes, budgeting, basic math, and retail math; maintain organized operational records.
• Communicate clearly with staff and customers, using sound negotiation, phone etiquette, and time management to keep store operations on track.
