Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I (MGRI) to support branch management in QSR-style operations at the Fort Lauderdale location. You’ll ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operating to high standards, using prescribed policies to drive decisions.

The role reports to the General Manager or Operations leadership, with a varied, rotating schedule on site across opening, busy dayparts, and closing shifts to supervise associates and maintain service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising restaurant staff within a fast-paced environment.
• Involvement in interviewing and hiring decisions for restaurant team.
• Ability to create and manage staff schedules across varying shifts.
• Knowledge of health, safety and HACCP standards applicable to food service.
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale operations.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures as per policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in interviewing and provides input on hiring and promotions.
• Assigns work tasks, helps prepare schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meal periods are observed by staff.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked and visually appealing.
• Operates cash register and manages cash according to policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns.
• Follows health and safety guidelines as specified in the Manager’s health & safety activities.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for associates.
