Job summary

McAlister's Deli | Vernon Hills is seeking an Hourly Manager to support daily restaurant operations and guest experiences. The role assists in directing shifts when senior management is absent, upholds food quality, safety, sanitation, and maintains standards.

You will help manage labor costs, supervise FOH and BOH, train new hires, handle guest comments, and open/close the restaurant as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a focus on teamwork and guest service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in restaurant operations preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision during assigned shifts.
• Direct operations to ensure quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
• Manage FOH/BOH shift responsibilities and labor costs.
• Address guest comments and complaints.
• Open and close restaurant in absence of upper management.
• Assist in training team members.
