A shift leader supports management in meeting restaurant goals through implementing, managing, and enforcing company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. This role involves taking a hands-on leadership role to deliver:
Reports to: General Manager or Manager on duty.
Internal contacts: All levels of store personnel and home office departments.
External contacts: Guests and distributors.
Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, following all procedures and regulations. Perform or assist with all restaurant functions as needed.
Shift Readiness – Prepare each shift through planning, inspection, and anticipating challenges. Communicate expectations, assign work stations, and motivate the team.
Direct Your Shift – Lead effectively during the shift, maintaining standards, keeping the team positive and organized, and correcting issues promptly.
Follow Up – Review shift results, communicate with management about performance, guest concerns, and operational issues.
