Position Overview

The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store alongside the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. They ensure the team understands goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, directives, and guest connections during their shift.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with enthusiasm, focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction.
• Maximize product sales and manage waste effectively.
• Maintain the store's appearance and atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively and delegate tasks during shifts.
• Address needs proactively for team and guest.
• Ensure SOP and quality standards are met consistently.
• Coach and develop team members, providing feedback and training.
• Perform administrative tasks accurately, including deposits, inventory, and ordering.
• Model and embody Caribou Coffee's core values: Support One Another, Make Fun Happen, Be Yourself, Take Ownership, Serve With Love.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities such as confidence, resilience, enthusiasm, humility, and a commitment to growth.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience or proper training approved by Caribou Coffee.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

Ability to hear, speak, see, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for 4-8 hours. Accommodations available if needed.
