Job summary

Shake Shack in McLean, VA is seeking a Shift Lead to manage the flow of service, direct the work of an hourly team, and uphold safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed on each shift.

You will assist with operational support functions such as purchasing, receiving and inventory, participate in applicant interviews, and contribute to a positive, guest-focused experience through clear communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
