Job summary

Shake Shack in Washington, DC is seeking a hands-on leader to manage shift operations and direct a team of hourly Team Members. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, quality and speed, while building a high-performing crew.

The role may involve supporting purchasing, receiving and inventory tasks and participating in interviews. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience, a Food Safety Certification, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
