Job summary

The Greystone Inn, a historic lakeside resort managed by Hay Creek Hotels in Lake Toxaway, NC, seeks AM & PM Restaurant Servers to join our Food and Beverage team.

Greet, seat, and serve guests while staying familiar with menu items and hotel offerings. You will handle cash, use the POS system, and help resolve guest concerns in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of a Point of Sale system preferred.
• 1 year serving experience in a high-volume restaurant, fine dining preferred.
• Wine/liquor knowledge and service training a plus.
• Ability to work in a constructive, team-based environment with a positive attitude.
• Experience handling large parties; banquet/events experience a plus.
• Ability to work nights, mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, seat, and serve guests per service standards.
• Stay familiar with menu items, promotions, and hotel offerings.
• Complete side work, clean and maintain areas and equipment.
• Resolve complaints and relay to supervisor as needed.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions using POS system.

The Greystone Inn, a charming getaway nestled in the heart of LakeToxaway, NC, is searching for professional, friendly, and fast-paced AM & PM Restaurant Servers to join our Food and Beverage team.

The Greystone Inn, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, isa historic lakeside resort located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of NorthCarolina. Job Summary:

• Greet, direct, seat, and serve guests in accordance with companyservice standards.
• Be thoroughly familiar with menu items, promotions offered, hotelofferings, and related materials.
• Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly. Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
• Assist in resolving any complaints, and communicate disgruntled customers to the appropriate supervisor.
• Reconciliation cash, accurately charge credit cards, and make appropriate cash deposits at end of shift. Complete all transactions using the Point of Sale system.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must feel comfortable with technology. Working knowledge of a Point of Sale system preferred.
• 1 year serving experience in a high volume restaurant, fine dining preferred.
• Prior Wine/Liquor knowledge. Previous alcohol service training a plus.
• Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
• Proven success in handling large parties. Banquet/eventsexperience a plus.
• Ability to operate smoothly under pressure and stress.
• Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.
