Job Responsibilities
- Greet all customers warmly
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
- Prepare dining tables for service, including laying out napkins and utensils, refilling condiments, and other side-work tasks
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specialties, and deviations
- Handle table assignments, seating, food and drink suggestions, and communicate customer needs to the kitchen
- Ensure a memorable dining experience
- Open and pour wine tableside properly
- Record revenue accurately and process payments via cash, credit card, room charges, or billing
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
- Assist with special events and other duties as needed
- Answer phones with proper etiquette
- Develop positive relationships with coworkers and guests
- Bus tables and assist with dishwashing and prep work as needed
- Clean front-of-house areas, including windows, fixtures, and entrance
- Complete service-related tasks such as filling water bottles and rolling silverware
Job Qualifications
- Preferred: One year of food and beverage experience
- Guest relations training
- Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and ability to work independently
- Punctuality and reliable attendance
- Food safety certification as required by law
- Experience with computers, POS systems, and reservation software
- Physical ability to perform movements and lift weights up to 25 pounds
