Job description

Opportunity: Restaurant Server

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, adhering to established brand/hotel guest service and sustainability standards.

Open Interviews

Join us for open interview sessions on Sundays and Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. at the hotel. Park in the Green Street Garage; parking will be validated. Upon entering the hotel, proceed to the restaurant and ask for Suzanne.

Your Growth Path

Potential advancement includes: Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server/Captain, Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager.

Your Focus

• Take and process food and beverage orders using the point of service system.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
• Set and clear tables in the dining area.
• Stock service stations with necessary items like ice, napkins, and straws.
• Pick up and verify food orders from the kitchen.
• Prepare guest checks and handle payments when appropriate.
• Assist with bartending and bussing during staff shortages or peak times.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and strive to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability practices aligned with HHM’s EarthView program.
• Maintain safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Your Background and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food and beverage service or equivalent training required.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• TIPS certification is preferred.
