Restaurant Server - Twelve Downtown Marriott Autograph Collection, Atlanta GA

Job Summary: The Restaurant Server greets guests, takes orders, serves food and beverages, and checks on guests to ensure complete satisfaction.

Position Details:
  • Title: Restaurant Server
  • Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Candidate Profile:
  • High School Diploma preferred; one-year hotel food service experience preferred.
  • Legal age to serve alcohol; TABC Certified.
  • Food Handlers Certification required.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Present menu, answer questions, and suggest food and drinks; explain specials and menu items.
  2. Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses timely.
  3. Serve menu items courteously, timing service to guest pace.
  4. Perform check-backs and observe guests for additional needs.
  5. Calculate bills and process payments.
  6. Clear and reset tables efficiently after each course and guest departure.
  7. Complete assigned opening, running, and closing sidework.
  8. Assist coworkers as needed.
  9. Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly, following 'Make it Right' guidelines.
  10. Follow safety policies, report accidents, and maintain a safe work environment.
  11. Ensure cleanliness and safety of the work area.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of hotel facilities and services.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and carry trays.
