Job summary

Burger King is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead restaurant operations, focusing on profitability, guest service, people development, and daily management. The AM supports the Restaurant General Manager and supervises 20–45 hourly employees to ensure high-quality service and adherence to brand standards.

The role involves inventory control, maintenance, cash handling, and coaching staff to improve performance while meeting speed of service targets.

Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
High School Diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred.
1–2 years of quick service restaurant experience; management experience preferred.
Some understanding of P&L interpretation and its influence on profitability.
Demonstrated leadership skills and guest service principles.

Responsibilities

Profitability: manage inventory costs and perform daily/weekly/monthly inspections.
Place and receive inventory truck orders and maintain asset lists.
Ensure preventative maintenance of facility/equipment per company standards.
Maintain cash controls and security procedures (e.g., cash drawers).
Motivate and direct team to exceed guest expectations with fast, friendly service.
Coach shifts Coordinators and Team Members to raise performance.
Direct staff toward efficient preparation and sale of products and speed of service.
Uphold operational/brand standards; perform Hourly Shift Coordinator duties when needed.
