Job summary

Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill in London, ENG, GB is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to oversee Stateside Kitchen, In-Room Dining, Jo’s coffee and related venues. You will lead service, drive guest satisfaction, and align operations with brand standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, menu development input, and coordinating with kitchen, bar and rooms teams to grow outlet revenue while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Tourism, or related field.
• Three to five years of restaurant or hotel F&B experience, with progressive leadership.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service, operations, safety, sanitation, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Micros experience is beneficial.
• Wine and spirits knowledge and payroll processing.
• Valid food handler’s card or badge.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, energetic, service-oriented approach; lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant and outlet operations, maintaining excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide visible, hands-on floor leadership, coaching colleagues and guiding service.
• Greet guests, anticipate needs, respond to feedback, resolve concerns, and coordinate guest recovery with other departments.
• Uphold food and beverage quality, presentation, service consistency, hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Plan staffing, schedules, and coverage; monitor labor and adjust as needed.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop colleagues; maintain training programs and checklists.
• Develop and mentor high-potential team members; support progressive discipline with HR.
• Oversee opening/closing/side-work, station setup, cleanliness, storage, labeling, dating, rotation.
• Manage dining room operations including reservations, seating, rotations, and turnover.
