Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support branch leadership in tactically executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high operational standards.

The AGM will supervise day-to-day activities, assist in hiring decisions, review financial data, manage shifts, enforce health and safety policies, and maintain customer service excellence. On-site required in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 6 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined group of restaurants or points-of-sale.
• Participates in hiring, promotion or status change decisions; promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Reads financial and operational data to monitor progress toward unit goals and assigns staff accordingly.
• Ensures health, safety and AB policies are followed and staff understand procedures.
• Manages shift coverage, staffing schedules and rest breaks for all restaurant associates.
• Maintains cleanliness, stock levels and visually appealing display areas at all times.
