Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and Area Leader in Columbia, SC, leading restaurant operations with a focus on service excellence and team development.

You will help manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory, while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining profitability. Competitive hourly pay with benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Able to adapt to changing circumstances and drive restaurant performance.
• Experience managing budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily restaurant operations and scheduling.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management and cost control to protect profitability.
• Provide coaching and feedback to Team Members and support training.
• Support with staffing and scheduling decisions.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Uphold high guest service standards and address customer concerns promptly.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
