Job summary

CAVA in Charleston, SC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead with our mission and values. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to develop store action plans, drive financial metrics, and develop Team Members for long-term success.

In this role you will manage daily operations, ensure food quality and service standards, oversee inventory and cost controls, coach staff, and support scheduling while maintaining a positive guest experience and a culture of inclusivity.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and solve problems.
• Experience managing budgets and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA’s standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues and conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing customer concerns.
• Implement strategies to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow suit.
• Assist with financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Assist with food safety training and compliance.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives.
