Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in restaurant. You’ll train team members, supervise daily operations and ensure quality food, safety and guest service.

Ideal candidates bring restaurant management experience (QSR) or retail supervision, strong communication, and leadership skills. You’ll work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, to deliver great experiences.

Qualifications

Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
Ability to multi-task and follow directions with autonomy.

Responsibilities

Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure service standards.
Adheres to policies and practices in the employee handbook.
Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost; completes weekly inventory as needed.
Assists in administrative duties and documentation.
Reinforces customer service focus and responds to guest requests.
