Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day drive-in operations. You will help train and supervise Team Members and Carhops, manage staffing and inventory, and ensure food quality, safety and a clean environment for guests.

The role requires coordinating with supervisors, handling customer requests and maintaining performance standards during irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to supervise shifts, train staff and maintain performance standards.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs staffing and duties to meet service standards
• Ensures adherence to employee policies and procedures
• Performs opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost controls
• Completes weekly inventory and maintains records
• Supports in administrative tasks and documentation
• Maintains customer service focus and resolves guest requests and complaints
