Job summary

HMSHost in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Manager II to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

You will supervise daily activities, oversee staffing and scheduling, ensure safety and health compliance, manage ordering for units, and uphold cash-handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, understand, and act on instructions, correspondence, and policy documents, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group of units.
• Ensures compliance with AB policies and procedures for alcohol service.
• Participates in hiring decisions and terms with the GM for unit staff.
• Assigns tasks, supports schedule preparation, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Monitors mandated rest breaks and meal periods for staff.
• Maintains clean, well-stocked display areas and attractive visuals.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order and safe to use.
• Operates cash registers and handles transactions per HMSHost policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety compliance and reports concerns to the GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities per the Manager’s Guide.
