Job summary

Steak 'n Shake is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead from the front in a fast-paced QSR environment. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes operational excellence, hospitality, and motivating teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will report to the General Manager/Franchise Partner and drive business goals through effective team leadership, cost control, and KPI monitoring. Compensation reflects market norms and perks, including industry-leading wage options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of QSR or fast-casual restaurant management experience.
• Proven history of consistent work tenure and reliable leadership.
• Deep understanding of food cost management, labor optimization and KPIs.
• Hands-on leadership—able to work drive-through or grill when needed.
• Tech-savvy with POS systems, inventory platforms and invoicing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example by working the line, prepping food, maintaining cleanliness, and serving guests across shifts.
• Uphold brand standards, food safety practices and service protocols.
• Own the P&L by managing costs, controlling inventory, and driving labor efficiency.
• Oversee inventory from back door to front line.
• Recruit, train, and retain top hourly talent through clear feedback and coaching.
