Job summary

Steak ’n Shake is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead from the front, blending heritage with bold innovation in a fast-paced QSR setting. You will actively work the line, train and coach hourly talent, and drive hospitality excellence across all shifts.

You will report to the General Manager/Franchise Partner and own food cost, inventory, and labor optimization while upholding brand standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of QSR or fast-casual restaurant management experience.
• Proven history of consistent work tenure and reliable leadership.
• Deep understanding of food cost management and labor optimization.
• Hands-on leadership across drive-through or grill when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and manage daily opening, mid-day, and closing operations.
• Oversee P&L, control food costs, and optimize labor with smart scheduling.
• Oversee inventory from back door to front line; ensure brand standards and safety.
