Steak ’n Shake is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead from the front in a hands-on, hospitality-driven role. You’ll drive operational excellence on every shift, balancing guest experience with a sharp focus on food quality and safety.

You will report to the General Manager/Franchise Partner and own P&L, inventory, and team development, while keeping brand standards and top-tier service at the heart of every decision.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of QSR or fast-casual restaurant management experience.
• Proven history of consistent work tenure and reliable leadership.
• Deep understanding of food cost management and labor optimization.
• Hands-on leadership—able to work drive-thru or grill when needed.
• Tech-savvy with POS systems and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example—work the line and ensure cleanliness and hospitality across all shifts.
• Uphold brand standards, food safety practices, and service protocols.
• Own the P&L: manage food costs, control inventory, and verify invoices.
• Drive labor efficiency through smart scheduling and cross-training.
• Oversee inventory from back door to front line.
• Recruit, train, and retain top hourly talent with clear feedback.
