Job summary

Convive Brands in New York City is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our full-service restaurant team and partner closely with the General Manager to lead operations and guest experience. This hands-on leadership role focuses on people development, service excellence, and driving strong business results.

You will coach leaders and team members, manage labor deployment, and ensure food quality, safety, and cost controls while progressing toward future General Manager opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in full-service settings.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• NYC Food Handlers License required.
• Spanish, French, or Arabic skills are a plus.
• Experience managing labor, sales, COGS, inventory, forecasting and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor during service, coaching in the moment to deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Own the guest experience, resolve concerns with empathy and urgency.
• Develop people and culture, mentor leaders and frontline team.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent.
• Oversee opening, service, and closing with strong shift-to-shift communication.
